Hell’s Kitchen on FOX TV

 

Hell’s Kitchen, Fox’s hit culinary reality show, showcases 12 aspiring chefs facing off in a series of competitions in hopes of becoming the head chef of a new Las Vegas restaurant. Now in its third season airing on Fox, Hell’s Kitchen stars internationally renowned chef Gordan Ramsey, who uses his highsusan jablon on hell's kitchen standards and hot temper to whip his new chefs into shape. 

But before each season begins, Susan Jablon uses her own unique blend of expertise and style to whip the set of Hell’s Kitchen into shape. For the past three seasons, Susan Jablon Mosaics has been responsible for creating the glass tile blends for the beautiful tiled kitchens and dining rooms on the hit show. The vibrant, eye-catching red and blue blends, that dramatically divide the kitchen perfectly in two, set the mood for this dynamic, competitive show. 

Designing for TV is a bit different from creating blends for home or business installations. Because cameras interpret color differently than the human eye, Susan had to learn a few new tricks to make her tiles look great on TV. Choosing dramatic accent colors, Susan’s seemingly monochromatic blends ‘pop’ on TV screens. While Hell’s Kitchen appears red and blue, it’s really made from a variety of hues. This blend consisted of 10,000 square feet of Shimmerfly tiles. This set is also used by the contestants from each team every week.
